Andover Choral Society Wins National American Music Competition
Andover Choral Society is proud to announce that they have won The American Prize’s Ernst Bacon Memorial Award for the Performance of American Music, 2020, in the community ensemble division, for their premiere recording of Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight by Florence Price (1887-1953).

Virtual Rehearsals and Holiday Concert for Fall 2020
Andover Choral Society, directed by Dr. Michael Driscoll, invites all who enjoy singing classical choral music to join the chorus this fall in preparing a virtual holiday concert. Virtual, 90-minute rehearsals will begin via Zoom on Monday, September 21, at 7:00 p.m. The first two rehearsals will be free and open to all who pre-register.

These are difficult and challenging times for our community and our nation. The catastrophic impact of COVID-19, compounded by the murder of George Floyd and the resulting mass protests, violence, and division in our country, has many of us feeling overwhelmed, saddened, angry, and fearful.

Finding ways to sing together during the COVID-19 crisis
Members of the Andover Choral Society recently participated in an international online sing-along of Johannes Brahms’ A German Requiem hosted by the Berlin Radio Choir and Interkultur, the world’s leading organizer of international choir competitions and festivals.

May 2, 2020 concert cancelled
Andover Choral Society has made the very difficult decision to cancel our May 2, 2020, choral concert due to coronavirus concerns. We have suspended rehearsals for the safety of our chorus members and in compliance with state and federal guidance, and therefore will not have the performance material properly prepared by May.
