Andover Choral Society announces Open Rehearsals for Spring 2017 concert

The Andover Choral Society, directed by Michael Driscoll, invites those who enjoy singing fine choral music, to attend open rehearsals from 7:20 p.m.-9:30 p.m. on Monday, February 6 and Monday, February 13 at Christ Church, 33 Central Street in Andover.

On Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Church in Andover, the chorus will perform “In Troubled Times” a concert featuring Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass and two contemporary pieces, September Sun commemorating those who perished on September 11, 2001 and Peace Like a River, an uplifting African-American spiritual. Each concert will be sung with professional orchestra and soloists.

High school juniors and seniors are invited to sing with the Andover Choral Society through the Society’s Choral Scholars Program. Funded by grants from the Andover, North Andover and Lawrence Cultural Councils, the program is free to students from any town if they are currently in good standing in their high school chorus.
