Join Andover Choral Society in a performance of Joseph Haydn’s magnificent oratorio, The Creation. Considered one of Haydn’s most brilliant works, the oratorio depicts the creation of the world as described in the Book of Genesis, the Book of Psalms, and John Milton’s Paradise Lost. This jubilant and uplifting work celebrates the creation of the earth, the seas, animals and birds, and humans.

Andover Choral Society concludes its 90th season with the world premiere performance of becoming by Andover-based composer Demetrius Spaneas. Commissioned by the Andover Choral Society, this work concludes the season-long exploration of the Creation story. This concert will also feature works created by other local composers, including Leonard Bernstein, Gwyneth Walker, and Kevin Siegfried.
